2025 has felt like a rollercoaster. Ups. Downs. Some loops. No barf (thankfully!).

One of my goals for the year is to continue to develop a blog. I have enjoyed having a space to share things that I am learning but also to share things that have been on my heart. In 2025 I hope to continue to use the space to share with others what God has been teaching and I hope that you will not only read it but hold me accountable to continue posting.

This blog post is going to end up being a brief diary of my heart the past 54 days.

Some of my 2025 Goals/Hopes

-hang out with people at least every 2 weeks (if not more)

-read 15 books

-drink less sugar

-host people for parties/events

-visit the East coast

-start running?

-challenge myself in my work

-invest in bitcoin

-read 7 books to help me grow spiritually

-commit to a Bible reading plan

Community

I started attending a Young Adults group with some friends from college and am so grateful for new community. Since August I have known that I need to be in relationship with others and I have been praying for good friendships. It is such a blessing to see God answer prayers.

Reading through the Bible

For the past 54 days I have been reading through the Bible alongside a devotional by Paul Tripp. The devotional, Everyday Gospel, has done a great job at revealing the Gospel through Old Testament scripture and has been super encouraging!

Moving

In early February I found a place to move to! I am super excited to settle into a place where I can continue to grow as an adult! I am trusting God with this change and the newness that it brings, from things like paying rent and creating new routines.

Grieving

Milestones, like moving to an apartment, have reminded me of my mom. I miss her.

Anna's Birthday

It is hard to believe that my little sister is 11. I was 11 years old when she first entered our lives and now she is 11! I am so impressed with her ability to learn an instrument (saxophone), make friends, and be a sister. It has been such a privilege to watch her grow up, and it will be especially weird to not live with her!

New Habits

I am teaching myself tennis! Sort of... Really I just go to the gym and hit the tennis ball against a wall, but I have had fun.

I love playing pickleball! I am learning a lot, but it feels hard to improve. Someday I'll qualify as a level 3 player.

I am looking forward to what God has in store for 2025.

It will be a year with lots of change, but God has shown himself to be reliable. Even if I cannot rely on my circumstances, I am so glad to serve and love a God whose character never changes. Because He never changes, I know that He is faithful and trustworthy.

So... stay tuned!
